Admissions to all undergraduate programmes at Bethune College for the academic session 2026-27 will be conducted exclusively through the West Bengal Centralised Admission Portal (WBCAP), as notified by the Department of Higher Education. According to the GO No. 698-Edn(CS)/10M-95/14, dated 14 May 2026, the Admission Sub Committee will undertake the Physical Verification of Documents of all newly admitted students of UG Semester I (2026-27) in a centralised manner. The verification will be carried out in Centenary Hall (CH) with the assistance of 1-2 representatives from each department on the scheduled dates mentioned below.
As the verification is also required to be completed on the WBCAP Portal (West Bengal Centralised Admission Portal), all departmental representatives are requested to bring a device (laptop/tablet) to facilitate online verification on the portal.

Admission to the undergraduate courses at Bethune College for the academic session 2026- 27 is being conducted through the Centralized Online Admission Portal (WBCAP) of the Government of West Bengal, as per the schedule notified vide No. 698 Edn (CS)/10M-95/14, dated 14/05/2026.
Physical verification of documents for candidates admitted in Phase 1 will be conducted at Bethune College between June 27 and July 4, 2026 as per abovementioned G.O. A department-wise schedule for verification will be published on the college website shortly after the completion of the Phase 1 Upgradation Round. The competent authority in the State Government introduced the system of Centralised Online Admission to the undergraduate courses in colleges and universities in order to provide a single-window gateway to facilitate the admission process in the academic session 2026-27. Now, the Centralised Admission Portal shall go live for admission to the undergraduate courses in the 460 Government and Government aided General Degree Colleges/ Higher Education Institutions including Universities across the State of West Bengal for the academic session 2026-27, as per the attached schedule. As per the University of Calcutta's notification dated CSR/49/2024 dated 13 May 2026, PG admissions in affiliated UG colleges will no longer be conducted through the University's centralised PG Admission System from the academic session 2026-27.
